1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Spirit of Horses website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our site or services. Our work is dedicated to offering complementary Reiki support for horses, fostering calm, balance, and well-being through gentle energy work. We ask that all interactions remain respectful and aligned with our commitment to a peaceful, supportive environment for both people and animals.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book sessions or make purchases independently. Minors may use our services and participate in equine therapy only with the express written consent and supervision of a legal guardian. By using this site, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Reiki Sessions for Horses Disclaimer
Reiki sessions offered through The Spirit of Horses are intended solely as a complementary wellness practice to support the animal’s overall balance, relaxation, and well-being. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis, treatment, medication, or care of any kind. No claims are made that Reiki will cure, treat, prevent, or diagnose any medical, physical, or behavioral condition. Results vary from horse to horse and cannot be guaranteed. By scheduling or participating in a Reiki session, the horse’s owner or authorized guardian acknowledges that they remain fully responsible for the animal’s health and care, and agrees to consult a licensed veterinarian for any health concerns. The Spirit of Horses and its practitioners assume no liability for any outcomes, decisions, or consequences arising from or related to these sessions.
4. Online Store & Digital Products
When you purchase physical items or digital resources (such as guides or art) through our online shop, you agree to provide accurate payment and shipping information. Digital products are delivered via download links and are generally non-refundable due to their nature. We strive for excellence in all we offer, and we ask that physical returns be handled within 14 days of receipt if items are damaged.
5. Bookings & Cancellations
All Reiki sessions and services must be booked in advance and are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. After booking, you will receive an email with scheduling details and important instructions for the Reiki session with your horse. Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time are fully refundable. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding and ask that you provide as much notice as possible when cancelling so that the time may be offered to other clients.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including logos, photography of our horses, ministry descriptions, and digital artwork—is the property of The Spirit of Horses. You are welcome to share our soul-stirring content on social media with proper credit, but reproducing it for commercial gain without our permission is prohibited.
7. User Conduct
At The Spirit of Horses, we are committed to maintaining a peaceful, respectful, and supportive environment in all our interactions. Clients and visitors agree to conduct themselves with kindness, courtesy, and consideration toward our practitioners and the horses in our care. Aggressive, disrespectful, harassing, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to end a session, refuse service, or discontinue further engagement if someone’s conduct interferes with the calm atmosphere we uphold or conflicts with our values of harmony and mutual respect.
8. Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to our Etsy shop or other websites. These external sites operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We provide these links for your convenience and encouragement, but we are not responsible for the content or practices of these third-party platforms.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Spirit of Horses provides this site and its services on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Spirit of Horses shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from your use of the site or participation in Reiki sessions. Working with horses involves inherent risk, which participants accept upon booking.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Spirit of Horses, its facilitators, and volunteers from any claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your violation of these terms or your misuse of our services and content.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms will be handled in the courts of Siskiyou County, California, though we always hope to resolve matters through peaceful mediation first.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our mission grows and shifts. Any changes will be posted here with an updated date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
